Does Anvela really work with no wifi?

Yes. Once you download a city, its full guide works completely offline. Add its optional map pack and the map works offline too. Only live review refreshes need a connection — cached ratings still show offline.

How do I download a city for offline use?

Open a city and tap Download city. To get the offline map as well, tap Download map pack. You can manage everything and see storage used in Settings → Downloads.

Which cities are free?

A rotating set of starter cities is free with full guide text, so you can judge the quality before paying. Anvela Pro or Anvela Lifetime unlocks all cities and all offline map packs.

What’s the difference between Pro and Lifetime?

Anvela Pro is a subscription (monthly or yearly, with a free trial) that unlocks everything and includes new cities as they ship. Anvela Lifetime is a one-time purchase with the same unlocks — pay once. Use Restore Purchases if you switch or reset your device.

Where do the ratings and reviews come from?

Ratings and review snippets come from Google via the Google Places API, fetched when you’re online and then cached on your device with a “last updated” label so you can read them offline.

Why does Anvela ask for my location?

Only to center the map on you and show how far places are. It’s requested when you open a map, stays on your device, and is never uploaded. If you decline, the map centers on the city and everything still works.

A guide is out of date or has a mistake

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Settings → Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID you bought with.
